Hog Roast Gregson Lane Takes The Stress Out Of Christening Catering!

Hog Roast Gregson LaneBeing a new parent is hard – but you already know that. Add the stress of planning an event on top, and it can all get a bit much. Between writing up invites, finding the perfect venue, and managing those fine details, it’s not surprising when things start to feel overwhelming. But what If I told you that Hog Roast Gregson Lane could help make things easier?

Let’s be honest – food’s a big part of any get-together. Whether you’ve got five guests or five hundred, one thing people always look forward to what’s on their plate. And when it comes to tasty food, that’s where we shine. Our hog roasts are pretty well-known around Preston.

Not only are they packed with flavour, they also look great and get people talking – perfect for making an event feel special. Just recently, we helped out a lovely couple, Alice and Stuart, with their daughter Mabel’s Christening. They were run ragged, like most new parents, and the whole event was starting to feel a bit much. But after chatting with Hog Roast Gregson Lane’s experts, things started to click into place. They went with our Alfresco Menu, which is actually one of our most popular options. It features a whole slow-roasted hog, served in sandwich form on soft gluten-free or wholemeal rolls with sage and onion stuffing, applesauce, and crispy crackling.

Hog Roast Gregson LaneWe also threw in a good selection of side salads and some beautiful charcuterie boards to round things off. Once we got everything booked in, we kept in touch right up until the big day. Any questions or last-minute tweaks – we were happy to help.

On the day, we turned up early at their church hall to get everything ready. The venue had loads of natural light and plenty of space. Alice and Stuart added some lovely Christening decorations and a big vanilla sponge cake that really stood out. As the smell of the hog roast filled the room, Hog Roast Gregson Lane set up the tables with crisp linens, proper plates and cutlery, and a big antipasti board brimming with Italian meats and cheeses in the centre of each one. The whole day felt relaxed and full of love – exactly what the couple had been hoping for. As everyone tucked in, Alice and Stuart could finally breathe, enjoy the moment, and celebrate with the people closest to them.
