A key part that we love about our job is that we meet different people at different events each time. We do also love meeting with our regulars, but the sheer amount of people we meet on a daily basis and the things we constantly learn from these people are astounding and it gives us complete job satisfaction.
We recently catered for a 90th birthday party for an elderly lady from Bamber Brideg. Living in a care home she was surprised to be taken out for the day for her birthday and arrived at her surprise party in the local village hall. Her daughter Susan had gathered her friends and huge family who filled the room as Ethel was a very popular lady!
Susan wanted to provide something different for Ethel that’s still completely packed with flavours and where else would she go but to Hog Roast Bamber Bridge! Our immense tastes and flavours famed across Bamber Bridge.
Ethel was overwhelmed when she came into the room and was a little bit emotional, and what a lovely lady she was and how unbelievably grateful for us providing the catering for her special day. She spent quite a bit of time with us while we were preparing the food, (after she had mingled with her guests) as she was so intrigued into what we did. She told us so much about her extraordinary life and it was fascinating to hear such lovely positive words.
Ethel wanted to gather everyone ready for the moment that we lifted the hog out and into serving position and she of course needed to be the first to try her pig sandwich, with an added bit of extra crackling for her. Ethel loved it! And so did all of her guests! She was so grateful to daughter Susan for putting on such a wonderful afternoon for her, after all of the guests had enjoyed their food we laid out the remainder for them to nibble on over the course of the afternoon and I am sure that Ethel would be taking the rest with her for those at the care home who couldn’t make the party.
A very rewarding day for Hog Roast Bamber Bridge.
