Weddings come in many different shapes and sizes, with no two receptions being the same. Some take place in the morning, some take place in the evening- and some can last all day! Lucy and Dan first met at school, but they didn’t become friends until they both joined the same office job and found themselves at opposite desks. Their friendship blossomed into love and they soon found themselves planning their wedding. Their wedding took place this summer, at a beautiful farm venue with 175 of their friends and family.

Their wedding began with a beautiful morning reception, followed by a formal lunch served by Hog Roast Ribbleton. The lunch included 5 delicious canapes, followed by roasted sirloins of English beef and slow-roasted pork. The mains were served with seasonal vegetables and roasted baby new potatoes to create a tasty and balanced meal.

Once the lunch had been enjoyed, our Hog Roast Ribbleton waiting staff cleared away the catering and crockery, leaving the guests to enjoy their afternoon. The entertainment consisted of live music and dancing, as well as plenty of great photo opportunities in the June sunshine.

As the evening approached, the reception was still in full swing and Hog Roast Ribbleton began to serve our second course of the day. The evening meal was a luxury BBQ, including juicy beef burgers, marinated chicken kebabs, and sticky BBQ spareribs. This was a great contrast to the formal lunch and was ideal for eating while chatting and enjoying the evening. There was a dish for every guest to enjoy and it was a perfect way t end the night.
