As a caterer for events a really great part of our job is getting to meet folk from all across the country. You have to be a people person as a caterer, and at Hog Roast Wheelton we love getting to interact with guests and chat about our foods or give tips on the best ways to roast at home.

Not all events give us the opportunity to chat to guests, however, as we often have to be hard at work and keep things moving along apace. That is why we appreciate the types of events that are non-customer based, such as wedding fairs, as these are occasions when our main task is to chat to guests just about events all things delicious.

We get these opportunities from time to time by working with our various partners in the wedding industry. Wedding planners will often put together large-scale guest events and invite in a roster of vendors with sellable services for weddings so that guests can peruse the various stalls and come away with either several bookings for their wedding, or at least have a better understanding of what is out there for them. These events are excellent for a team like Hog Roast Wheelton because it allows us to get our name out there and take in bookings for the year. The added benefit for us is that we love getting face to face time with customers, which often does not happen with web or phone orders, so we can spend a bit more time getting to know our customer and curate a perfect event package just for them.

With wedding season just coming to a close now a lot of these shows may crop up again near you, so if you have any intention of hosting an event at all (it doesn’t even have to be a wedding) then we would encourage you to come down and meet your local Hog Roast Wheelton team in attendance. The events are often free or have a low admission fee, and for your efforts in coming to talk to us you may well be able to get a free hog roast roll as a sampler!
