This summer, Hog Roast Lightfoot Green has been hired to cater an anniversary celebration for Elaine and her husband Ron. This year, the pair have been married for 60 years and their children wanted to do something special to celebrate the occasion. Kelsey, their eldest daughter, planned to host a party in her garden, with a large marquee hosting the 30 guests. The event will include music, great food served by our team, and plenty of celebrating! For the menu, it was decided that our formal dining package would be perfect for this special occasion.
Our formal dining menu will begin with a homemade soup of the day as the starter. This dish is a simple yet delicious way to begin the meal and always goes down a treat. Following this, we will be serving our classic hog served with all of the trimmings. This is the star of our catering and no one can resist our delicious, succulent pork, which is slow-roasted to perfection on-site. The pork will be accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Overall, this is a hearty and filling main meal, with more than enough to fill the guests- including enough for seconds. Finally, the guests can choose between profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding. The desserts will be served alongside English cream and fresh berries to create a luxurious and rich final course. Our waiting staff will also be serving a hot drink service, with the guests able to enjoy fresh brewed tea and coffee. This is the perfect way to end the most incredible anniversary meal!
