Surprise Hog Roast Clifton

You could go the whole hog with your food this festive season, and by that we don’t just mean with a roasted pig! We have a Christmas menu that features a turkey and all the trimmings that we can provide for your event or party this month, and it even includes finishing off your meal with tasty mince pies and lashings of our hot, mulled wine. We cook the locally-sourced bird in front of you and your guests until it has a juicy middle and a crispy outer, and cook the freshly prepared vegetables and roast potatoes in the machine too. Add the traditional trimmings of seasonal vegetables, cranberry sauce, sage and onion stuffing, and our homemade gravy, and you have a festive feast fit for a king.

When Debra called us to book our hog roast Clifton catering service for her husband Karl’s birthday party, she was thinking about having us roast a hog or a lamb in their back garden. However, when we told her about our fantastic Christmas hog roast Clifton menu, she decided that would be a great idea instead and one no one would easily forget – a Christmas-themed birthday party turkey spit roast!

Our team went along to the family home early on Sunday, as the food would be served for lunch and it takes several hours to roast a whole turkey this size. The surprise meal meant that Karl was already out of the house on the morning of his special day, enjoying a fishing trip with his sons. While he was gone, we could set up the equipment and crack on with preparing the meat, while Debra and her friends decorated the house and garden ready for the surprise hog roast Clifton.

While the turkey was rotating itself to cooked perfection, we got on with preparing the fresh veggies to roast inside the machine with the potatoes. By the time it was nearly ready some time later, and Karl and his sons were due back, the air was full of unmistakable, gorgeous aromas and we set to work with all the trimmings and dishing up the condiments. Slicing into the bird was easy as it was really moist and juicy. As if on cue, Karl arrived to a birthday cheer just as we had stripped the turkey bare and the trays were now full of plenty of meat to go around all of the guests.
